Taking control of your life
Do you ever just wake up one day and try to figure out what in the world has happened to your body? How can you gain weight so quickly and never really notice until all the sudden one day your pants are so tight you have to go buy a new pair because you can't wear any of your old ones? I wasn't quite to that point yet, but was getting close. I decided I have to take back control of myself. It's so easy to just let yourself spiral out of control. Not just weight wise, but just with life in general. We seem to get so wrapped up in the daily routine of life that we forget to remember who we are as individuals. You're a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend. You have a million different identities, but you're no longer an individual. I'm not saying that it's bad to be all these other things, but you do have to maintain a little of yourself and remember who you are and what makes you who you are.

I think it all happens because it's easier to just let things go, than it is to take care of them... especially when you spend so much time taking care of so many other things...
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this and feel that way myself sometimes. Been on a weight loss journey and it's not easy, especially with every day life & all of the things we do in a day. BTW, I love your blog, it's so cute :-)
